Growing up here in Loveland, Colorado I remember downtown was very historic and there weren't a lot of fun places to go. Over the past five years, I have seen downtown grow into a great family friendly area featuring the most unique locally owned businesses. You will find me hangin downtown Loveland every weekend!

The best way to find he coolest hangouts in a downtown is to ask a local!
I wanted to share my favorite places to eat, drink, & shop in Downtown.
"At Betta Gumbo, we take favorite family recipes and add a special culinary twist to our own brand of Cajun and Low-Country cooking." Just looking at their website is making my mouth water for their fried green tomatoes.
Their huge variety of drinks with delicious southern cajun food makes for a great dinner spot.
Wicked Tequila Room has over 40 luxury brands of tequila and mezcal. Wicked is my go to for parents' night out when I have a sitter. They have the best margaritas and karaoke nights. If you are feeling really adventurous, you will have to try their scorpion shot.
Yumm!! Cupcake Gypsies is an adorable cupcake shop with gluten free and vegan options. They not only offer cupcakes, but also cake pops, brownies, pies, and cookies. You can also order cakes and cupcakes for special occasions.
Shop Local Saturday is the last Saturday of every month dedicated to shopping at local businesses. Most of the shops downtown are locally owned and will do a sale or free gift w/purchase on Shop Local Saturday.
Vintage Willows is a boho inspired locally owned shop. They carry hand-picked vintage items along with trending name brands. Every time I am downtown, I HAVE to stop at this boutique. I find all my favorite trendy pieces here at great prices.
Cloz to Home is our sister store with the same owners as Pilar Boutique. The name Cloz to Home really fits this boutique because it feels like home when you walk in. From the unique home finds and women's clothing, to the friendly and welcoming staff.
Pilar Boutique is the store to go to when you need an outfit for work, a night out, or a casual day in. Also you get to shop with me! Maybe I am a little biased, and I could write about our amazing boutique all day, but it is one of the best shops in Loveland!
Dark Heart is a great space for meetings, getting work done, or meeting friends. It is definitely a destination coffee house! You have to admire the detailed esthetics within every inch of the shop while sippin on your Honey Oat Milk Latte. They offer single origin coffees from small batch roasters around the world. Also includes kombucha, nitro cold brew on tap, loose leaf teas, bean to bar chocolates, stunning French pastries, bio-dynamic wine, local craft beer, and mimosas.
This is my Sunday morning routine. My best friend and I meet here and enjoy a latte on the patio while our kiddos run around out front. And the cinnamon rolls are AMAZING. I can never decide which coffee I want, but their friendly (and patient) staff always help me choose a yummy one!
All of these amazing locally owned shops, breweries, and eateries, are one of a kind and I hope you have the pleasure of visiting them one day.
Working at a locally owned business has shown me the importance of supporting other locally owned shops. Little things like stopping at one of these coffee shops before work instead of a Starbucks makes a big difference.
